The internet is the gateway to the outside world. It has transformed how business is done and has evolved to transform the 21st century. Whether or not this source is a need or a want is very debatable. I stand in between the two. What makes these arguments valid though are their evidence. For the opposition, they could argue that humans could still survive as they have before the internet was created. The definition of a need in the business world is that it is an essential good and is necessary for survival. Technically speaking, one would not die without the internet. People for the internet would say that without is they may not be able to complete any business. For example, you can only trade stocks online, so a person who does not use the internet would be at a disadvantage of money making opportunities that people who use the internet. The internet is also a great way to learn and read about things. There are billions of search results for an endless number of topics. In summary, I stand between these two arguments because although they provide numerous advantages over somebody who doesn’t use the internet, it is not necessary for survival.
